♡Frequently Asked Questions♡

  FAQ

♡What's your name?♡
Mika as inspired by Mikaela Hyakuya from Owari No Seraph!

♡How do you write your lyrics?♡
Using the off vocal, I look at various sites with translations and Romaji lyrics and then I see what flows and makes me feel like the lyrics portray a message.

(Lord, that was cringy.)

♡Why do you use so much autotune?♡
Well, I would like to sound like a Vocaloid so autotune is my closest chance of becoming one.

♡Are you JubyPhonic?♡
Unfortunately, no, I am not.

♡Why are you obsessed with JubyPhonic? It's creepy...♡
I don't know if you have heard her or not, but if you have, you'd understand.

♡Why aren't you active on Smule?♡
Lack of storage on my phone and I tried to focus more on my YouTube and my studies.

♡You should use your natural voice more! Are you self conscious of it?♡
Yes and no. I fear that my voice isn't thick enough or powerful enough plus, I have an intense relationship with tuning and I doubt I'll end it anytime soon.

♡How does one stalk you?♡
Follow me on anything but don't show up at my house.

♡Can I add you on skype?♡
Hehe , no. I'm trying to keep my current idenity a secret so until I do 'the big reveal', nooooo.

(I'm sorry, but I have kik - @mikamangaka - so totally add me there).

♡Can I become your friend?♡
Yeyeyyeyeyeyeyy! Yes! I love having new friends! Just message me on Smule or Twitter and I'll respond almost immediately.

♡What do you use to record?♡
  • Adobe Audition CS6 - This is mega pricey, but I mean, torrents... they're, uh... pretty good. (Don't call the police on me.)
  • Snowball Mic (by Blue)
♡Will you collab with me?♡
Forgive me, but most of the time I'm too busy to participate in collaborations (mostly if it involves me mixing it). I'm a busy girl with my GCSEs just a while away so...

If you only want me to sing in it and not handle the mixing, then hit me up!

♡Any lyric writing tips?♡
  • I totally recommend looking at the lyrics of others and see if you can make any of your own interpretations.
  • English translyrics from Vocaloid Lyrics Wiki is a good site to get the gist of meanings.
  • Rhyming is power! Rhyming actually makes lyrics flow better (in my opinion).
  • SYLLABLES! To make the lyrics really work, you need to match the syllables from the original song.
  • Make sure they're from your perspective of the song! It's always a good way to entice subscribers if they begin to notice your view on a particular song.
